This is a recorded-for-podcast version of my hit Fringe theatre show, Me, the Queen, and a Coconut, which premiered in 2015. It’s about my time living and working at Windsor Castle and how I chose not to be a priest. It’s pretty much entirely true. I may have misremembered something and did a minor time shift or two but I really did live and work at the castle. (The lower ward though. Let’s not get pretentious.) Most episodes will not be true stories (I classify this as a fiction podcast on iTunes for lack of a better option) but a wise person once told me that all stories are fiction and all good fiction is deeply true. Or maybe I read it on a bumper sticker. Anyway, here’s the show.
Narrative comedy, for lovers of laugh-out-loud literature (or “lololl’s” for short). A mix of novels (chapter by chapter), short stories, and theatrical shows to help you laugh along with the human condition.
Sonnet for Spring Sonnet Contest Winner Tara Travis. Listen closely. The first letter of each line spells Tara's chosen phrase: ”Y O U 'R E S O A W E S O M E”.
